Connect operating records to the planning decision.Rows align; amber flags retain duplicate, missing and inconsistent records for review. Two scenarios share one comparison basis—not two unrelated dashboards.Keep the method and inputs behind the planning tool.
Illustrative data workflow · not live operating data
Data & Analytics.
From operating records to decision clarity.
Manufacturing data analysis, scenario comparison and practical planning tools. We reconcile plant records, understand variation and build analysis your team can revisit.
A useful conclusion starts with clear definitions and trustworthy inputs.
Make the inputs worth trusting.
Logs can disagree, events can be missing and the same field can mean different things. We reconcile the records and document what was cleaned, excluded or still needs to be measured.
Reconcile sources and definitions
Review missing and inconsistent records
Document exclusions and data gaps
A usable starting point.
The input limitations stay visible throughout the study.
Understand variation. Compare on one basis.
Averages can hide the demand peaks and process variation that affect a plan. We examine suitable distributions and compare scenarios using stated assumptions and consistent measures.
Demand, cycle-time and downtime variation
Forecasts and what-if comparisons
Explicit assumptions and limitations
The plotted shapes are illustrative—not live data, a forecast or a study result.
Keep the analysis. Not only the answer.
Where the question will recur, an updateable workbook, dashboard or engineering tool can be more useful than another report. We agree a handover your team can understand and maintain.
The deliverable follows how your team will use it. A focused study may need a clear comparison; recurring planning may justify an updateable workbook or custom tool. We agree the scope around the decision, inputs and maintenance needs.
Connect statistical analysis and reporting to useful performance measures.
Statistical analysis
Excel dashboards & reporting
Engineering tools
Make recurring analysis practical to update and repeat within your team.
Custom engineering tools
A clearer basis forbusiness decisions.
Plan beyond the average
Understand demand and process variation when evaluating capacity, forecasts and operating scenarios.
Build confidence in the numbers
Reconcile definitions, sources and missing events so decisions rest on a stated, traceable basis.
Make insight repeatable
Replace recurring manual analysis with suitable workbooks, dashboards or engineering tools.
From evidenceto a usable decision.
01
Connect the question to the inputs
Identify the records, definitions and data gaps that affect the decision.
02
Analyze and compare
Explore variation and alternatives using appropriate statistical methods and a consistent comparison basis.
03
Equip the team to revisit it
Hand over findings and, where needed, an updateable tool with its method and limitations explained.
The engineeringbehind the decision.
Turning what the plant already records into something a decision can rest on.
Our approach+
Every model and every recommendation starts from data that came off a real system, which means the first job is usually cleaning it: reconciling logs that disagree, deciding what a zero actually means, and working out which stoppages were recorded and which were simply absorbed. From there it becomes distributions rather than averages, scenarios compared on one basis, and, where a question is going to be asked again, a tool your own team can run instead of a report they have to request.
Establishing usable inputs+
We begin by reviewing the available records, their definitions and their limitations. Inconsistent data can often be reconciled; information that was never captured may require a measurement plan. Establishing that early keeps the study focused on decisions the evidence can support.
Capturing variation+
Machines do not fail at evenly spaced intervals, and demand rarely arrives at its average rate. Fitting appropriate distributions to cycle times, downtime and demand helps represent that variation. The choice of inputs is documented so scenario results can be interpreted in context.
Making analysis repeatable+
Where a comparison will be repeated, a dashboard or a small tool can be worth more than another report. We agree an appropriate handover so your team can update inputs, repeat the analysis and understand the method after the engagement.
